AIRG continues a wide-ranging set of established links with kindred research and innovation management focussed organisations operating in other countries, including in the USA, with the Industrial Research Institute (IRI), and in Europe, through the European Industrial Research Management Association (EIRMA).  Additionally, the AIRG maintains more limited contact with JATE (Japan), KITA (Korea), AIRI (Italy), ANPEI (Brazil), and ADIAT (Mexico).

The AIRG works closely with the ATSE (the Australian Academy of Technology, Science and Engineering)  www.atse.org.au.

It also maintains close contact with the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research of the Australian Federal Government which manages a National Innovation website for Australia.  www.innovation.gov.au.
